I love the subtle tones and textures derived from true B+W film…. Hmm! I love the way it beckons you to take a second look…. but also draws your eyes exactly to the point of the entire picture.

Aren’t they so cute! This was from a winter wedding in Central Park. They had this darling little ballerina-like shoes and dresses and white, furry shrugs. TOTALLY Swan Lake! I was inspired to photograph them from the back like another picture I’ve seen by my favorite photographer, Elizabeth Messina. More from this wedding to come!

An Elopement in Brooklyn

What happens when two people fall in love and just want to get married? They elope! Civil ceremony at the Brooklyn City Hall, portraits in Brooklyn, and a quiet dinner for two in DUMBO. What could be sweeter? I worked with a wonderful couple, a florist, and a hair and makeup artist. I’ve had all sorts of ideas for a styled photo shoot with all of these people for SO LONG. And I was really excited to finally have a chance to work with wedding professionals and a real married couple that I trust. Everything came together so nicely, that even before I had a chance post it here on my blog, it was scooped up by Brooklyn Bride!
