NY Professional Photographer
PS: Why do they need to check to see if they took the picture? Do they not trust their equipment? And, what if something really cool or special or earth shattering or newsworthy happens right there but they miss it because they’re so focused on their camera? Hmmmm…. we can only wonder.

matt haines - I know, huh? I was at a charity event last night…thankfully as a guest, not a photographer. But I was watching the photogs who had been hired to cover the event. Snap. Chimp. Snap. Chimp. (repeat ad nauseum). I kept thinking, just trust you got the shot! Either you did or you didn’t, nothing you can do about it even if you can see it. “Trust the force, Luke.”

I guess I’m just being a film snob though. But hey, we are better than those digi-shooters out there so it’s justified. Right? :)

wendy g - Oh that’s so funny! I can’t help but watch the hired photographers when I go to events. What photographer wouldn’t be interested to see how someone else works, thinks, responds, and “sees”? Hmmmm…. digital photography gave me some things but I definitely appreciate so much more what film has given me. #KeepFilmAlive (^_^)
