Those amazing photographs in the photo shoots of cakes that you see in magazines spreads are impossible to reproduce. Yep, that’s right! Those photos for articles about cakes in Martha Stewart Weddings and Brides, etc are not even cakes. They are pieces of styrofoam covered in icing or fondant. Professional food stylists, editors, and their assistants spent hours decorating that “cake”. And then the photo was retouched in photoshop to further “perfect” it. So no, don’t think that yours will look exactly the same–no matter how skillful your cake baker is.
But I bet yours will taste infinitely better! Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about! 😉
