Angela and Logan were co-winners of the 2010 Portfolio Contest. This was truly a DIY wedding! Everything was very personal and handcrafted from start to finish.

1. Her dress was $9 (nine dollars) at the Salvation Army (shortened by tailor)
2. She did her own hair and makeup
3. She created her own birdcage veil with a feather
4. She designed their wedding program fans
5. Her friend created the signs leading guests through the park to the ceremony location
6. They had an outdoor ceremony at Wagner’s Cove (near the Cherry Hill Fountain) in Central Park
7. Guests were invited to wear the blue and green color palette
8. She knit dozens of little “blue-birds” to decorate the reception
9. She baked their wedding cake and used frosting from Magnolia Bakery
10. Cake topper of lovebirds in a nest from Etsy
11. They decorated a very modest reception hall with paper lanterns and hanging lights

Wow! I still can’t get over the $9 dress from the Salvation Army. And it’s so of the moment right now. Wow……:-)

Jo - These pictures are of a wedding that is WAY better than any huge produced affair I’ve ever seen. If this is DIY, then sign me up! To the Salvation Army!
